Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra MCA Entrance Exam

Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, takes an Online Entrance Test for admission to its 6-semester full-time MCA program. Since it is a highly reputed institute, a large number of students apply for MCA entrance every year. It has five other centres at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur, and Noida besides Ranchi. There is only one common entrance test for the above mentioned centres.

BIT Mesra Eligibility :

Candidates who have a recognized bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Application/ Information Technology/Electronics or BSc/BA with Mathematics or Statistics at graduate level are eligible to apply the Entrance Exam. The BSc/BA (Honors) candidates should have at least 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in their honors subject.

Application Form:

The information bulletin and application material can be obtained from all the BIT Centers in person on payment of Rs. 1200/- and by post on payment of Rs. 1300/-. All payments should be done by DD in favor of Birla Institute of Technology. One can also fill the form online.

Pattern of Examination:

The Entrance Exam will be online for 2 hours. The Exam Paper will have 120 multiple choice questions. Candidate will get 4 marks for every correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. The Exam Paper will cover the following sections:

• Mathematics-70 questions
• Analytical ability & Logical Reasoning-30 questions
• Computer Awareness-20 questions
