CISCE terms 'baseless' to CBSE's grading system
On the direction of Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal, the the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) followed a nine-point grading system, but the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) other hand termed it as "baseless". The chairperson of Neil O' Brien argue on this and said "awarding grades to the students instead of marks is absolutely not taken by us". He also discuss follow points with the concerned personnel that Unless the universities start admitting students only on the basis of grade system and all the other school education boards also follow the path, there's no point in introducing it.
But today the majority of schools are with the CBSE with more than 9,000 on other hand 1,600 schools are only affiliated with CISCE. As per the words of Mrs. Komal Sood, principal, Shri Ram School, Gurgaon and Mrs. Anuradha Chopra, principal of Pragyan School, Greater Noida have said " The change is ought to be uniform, at all levels. Colleges should accept the grades while admitting Class XII students and It is a useless action to award grades in Class X and then again shifting the focus on giving marks in Class XII for college admissions".
