Universities in India

Council (NAAC) is a body that offers recognition to universities in India.

Indian universities provide qualified and skilled professionals to the escalating industries and corporate houses. As India is already very large in terms of population, so India is concentrating upon transforming the unproductive human resources to productive human capital by making quality and relevant higher education accessible to a large section of the population and huge investment in the education sector.

India has IITs that produce best engineers whereas IIMs are capable enough to produce world class management professionals and hence building a strong education system.

Top universities and institutes of India

In addition to these prestigious seven IIMs, India is going to start seven new IIMs in the country. Four of these will be made functional by next year and three to be made operational later. The stage for these was set with the 11th Five Year Plan endorsed by the National Development Council (NDC) in December 2007. The total number of IIMs in India will reach 13 once all the new ones are completed
