Aligarh Muslim University Scholarships

Aligarh Muslim University, a premier university of India, was founded in 1875 by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, with a view of imparting higher education to Muslim students in India. Aligarh Muslim University has 88 departments providing excellence education in areas like Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Medicine, Commerce, Law, Theology, Life Sciences, Unani Medicine, Agriculture, Business Management and Science.

Five colleges, viz. A.K. Tibbiya College, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College, J.N. Medical College, Women's College, Zakir Hussain College of Enginering & Technology, function under Aligarh Muslim University. Besides these, Aligarh Muslim University also runs a large number of Polytechnics and schools to promote the cause of education among Muslims in India. Aligarh Muslim University Scholarships are granted to students at both the graduate and the postgraduate levels. Scholarships are provided to meritorious and needy students and are designed to cover expenses related to their respective fields of study.

Eligibility, Duration & other Details of Aligarh Muslim University Scholarships Scheme:

Aligarh Muslim University Scholarships are awarded to meritorious and needy students studying in various departments of the university. The eligibility criteria and the scholarship amount for the various scholarships are fixed by the university and vary from time to time. Aligarh Muslim University Scholarships are granted for a particular period or the whole course. The application is made for the scholarships at the time of admission.
