The University Grants Commission SAARC fellowship India scheme is an educational scheme offered by the University Grants Commission or UGC. The plan is also identified as the SAARC Chair, Fellowship and Scholarship program.

The University Grants Commission is a legal body administered and controlled by the Government of India. The UGC was established in November 1956, in conditions of an Act of Parliament and is responsible for maintaining and setting the standards of university education in India.
